I moved to New York City in 1988. There were many people selling old magazines they got out of the garbage. I bought tons of Architectural Digests, Vogue magazines, pornography, People magazines and Gourmet. These magazines had the iconography/content that I was attracted to. I continued to work from where I left off with Classical Cubism.

I think had the most fun making art when I constructed these pieces. I loved using images of shoes, food, booze, interior design and sex. I felt like I was being really honest about my life. I call this series "Cubism for Girls."
